Prices and Our Reservation Deposit Policy

Prices

Posting the prices for our apartments on our website would certainly make our job easier, but the apartment prices change so often due to the time of year you visit, your length of stay in the apartment, the Exchange Rate for the Dollar vs. the Real, the amenities the apartment has, (A/C, Cable TV with English Channels, a Stereo, a Phone Line, Internet access, Etc. Etc.) all of these extras effect the prices greatly.
 

For example:

A Standard Studio apartment in Copacabana: average price Low Season (nice studio) = 110.reais a night for a 5-10 day stay...
Same Studio apartment in Copacabana: average price Low Season = 100.reais a night for a 10-20 day stay...

Rent the same apartment  for a Month, Low Season and it could be 1,800.reais a month or 60.reais a night...  
Same Studio apartment  in Copacabana average price High Season 130.reais a night for a 5-10 day stay...
Same Studio apartment  in Copacabana average price High Season 120.reais a night for a 10-20 day stay...  
Rent the same apartment  for a month High Season and it could be 2,300.reais a month or 70.reais a night...

Same Studio apartment  in Copacabana average price Carnival or New Years : = 240.reais or more a night for a 10 day stay...   

So you can see that every apartment  has at least 7 different prices. "OH", I forgot to mention the owner and what he thinks HIS apartment is worth. With nearly 200 apartments, you see our problem.

So it is much easier for us to just to contact the owner to inquire if the apartment is available for particular dates and just ask him how much he wants per night..

Posting the availability for our apartments would also certainly make our job easier.. However, with the owners of these apartments also renting these apartments themselves, it is impossible to keep track of nearly 200 apartments......

Our Reservation Deposit Policy....

Since we act as a broker on over 95% of the apartments listed, once your deposit is turned over to an owner, you can be assured that it will not be returned to us.  So... All reservation deposits are NON- refundable.

If you reserve an apartment from us and then cancel it, for any reason, you will forfeit your deposit.. So, please be sure of your dates.. because once the owners have your deposit they will turn down all other business on that apartment for those dates... 

Because these apartments are owned by many different individuals, we are not able to apply your deposit to any other apartment. Once the deposit is given to the owner of an apartment, they will not refund it. So we are unable to switch your deposit to any other apartment. You are agreeing to this no refund policy simply by sending in the deposit.....
